ABOUT THE $10K MAN LOGO

The 10K Man logo was created by my nephew, Kenneth Fothergill. For me it says, "1 OK", I am OK and cancer free. It also depicts the $10K Man holding a baton to pass to his team mates. Finally, it symbolizes the $10K that I planned to raise and that I actually did raise (see below) for the Canadian Cancer Society's 2008 Relay for Life in Petawawa. For Relay 2011, which takes place June 3 & 4 at Base Petawawa, the $10K Man is part of the Daffy-Dills. The Daffy-Dills team represents the Deep River, Ontario Branch of the Canadian Cancer Society and is supported by the Rotary Club of North Renfrew (Deep River).

ABOUT THE $10K MAN

The "$10K Man" concept was first launched in early 2008 to attempt to raise $10,000 for the 2008 Relay for Life event in Petawawa, Ontario. My personal goal was, "I will be the $10K Man". When all the dust had settled, a total of $13,418.92 was raised. For the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Relays, over $27,000 has been raised. For 2011, the Daffy-Dills will add to that total with your help.
